July is here again! meaning I'm another year older liao ~ wow 44 yrs old (OMG) ~ can't believe I'm reaching the so-called 'MIDDLE-AGED' Group (arghhhhh).
See the photo taken on my birthday ~ really like AUNTY (signnnnnnnnnn !!)

some more candid shots .........yuarks!!!!

see the simple & meaningful card from my love ones .......

(sketched by Jamuel)

This cute little 'accessory spoon'
is from Jermaine, which she sacrificed
her 1-day pocket money to buy!

Last but not least, an interesting 'surprise' gift from Jarryl ..........which started off with my discovery of this note left by him early in the morning!

and these are the 8 smses which I received from him (of Words relating to me!) every hourly starting from 9 am .........

'CARING' 'ORGANIZED' 'MERCIFUL' 'PERSEVERANCE' 'UNDERSTANDING' 'TOLERANT' 'EFFICIENT' 'REASONABLE'

and finally the mystery Word that I managed to unlock is 'COMPUTER'. So when I reached home 1st thing 1st, I went to turn on my PC wondering what's next in surprise for me!. True enough, there to greet me at my PC screen is this ....... delightful & cute Happy Family pic!

So sweet of him right !! This meaningful & priceless Gift (personally thought & planned by him) adds that extra touch and complete my Birthday with beautiful memories!

2 days later, I also received a nice present from my BA buddies .... Cheryl, Christie, Fang, Alice, Pat and a 'Special Fren' (indeed a surprise to see his name) ! ~ thank you Dear All for your lovely gift ~ its beautiful and sweet and smell really nice too !

A WONDERFUL WEEK & A WONDERUL DAY

Hmmm before I started my blogging this morning, I'm thinking hard what to put as the "Title" for today's posting ~ so finally i decided to name it "A Wonderful Week & A Wonderful Day"... and here goes my long-winded journal for the past 1 week ......

1st Happening on the morning of 18 June (Wed) ~ woke up pretty early getting ready to go for my Final Theory Test @ Ubi Test Centre. Haha me a bit Kiasu la, b4 actual test @9.15am went to sign up for another E-Trial test session @ 8.00am !!!! But I'm really glad I did that, cos I managed to complete 2 papers (1st one failed but 2nd one passed!) and it did help me to refresh many of the questions & answers. So finally when the actual test screen was right in front of me, Oh My... I was like back to my school exam times some 25 yrs back (hohoho) ... feeling nervous and having cold feet & sweaty palms ... especially when I had to click that END TEST button (my heart went pip-pop-pip-pop). FINALLY FINALLY and PHEW PHEW the big 6-letter word "PASSED" appeared in the screen and I was like screaming in silence YEAH YEAH YEAH & WOW WOW WOW ~ so seow me(heehee).

Then came the 2nd good news later tat day ~ I finally received a call from HDB town officer (after 2 mths of neck-long waiting) informing me that my appeal for early eligibility of sale is APPROVED!!! So now I need not wait till 1 Sept to submit my resale should I'm lucky to find a buyer anytime now. In a way, it does benefit us more if this approval is granted ~ bcos we will be ahead of any intended seller come 1 Sept thus less competitive in selling, and also by then the whole completion of this sales & purchase will be timely enough for me to settle down at my next flat b4 year end. So now our wish is hoping for the right buyer to faster faster come-by !!!

NOW let's go on to read what happened after Wednesday...

Over the next 2 days, 3 buyers came by to view the house ~ not much comments received and no offers given ~ so I was like a bit 'downhearted' but still hoping for the best..... and keeping my fingers crossed!! Then came Saturday (my so-called Wonderful Day!)

~~ Firstly ~~ While accompanying my sister to this dressmaker to tailor-make her cheongsum outfit for Jessie's wedding, I was delighted to also find myself a nice cheong-sum dress which suits me perfectly well! even the ladyboss was amazed that her newly completed dress (which was actually meant for showroom display) can suit my size so well w/o any alteration! So there goes another $150.00 from my pocket-hole (hohoho) but I'm so pleased with it.

~~ Secondly ~~ When I got home, there was this old couple with their daughter who came by my place for the viewing. Although the lady's mother was wheel-chair bound, but we still invited her to move freely around to view the whole place. Think bcos of this, she was so pleased and happy when they finished viewing. Before the family left they asked for our best price and we said $670k. Then just before another family were supposed to come for viewing too, the agent representing the 1st family came up again ~ and counter-offered $660k. We told him we need to consider as another family was on their way up. This agent was so persuasive and persistent and refused to leave. He just stand outside the house and started making calls to his buyer, while the next family came in for the viewing. Halfway thru, this agent dashed into our house and pulled my agent aside and quietly told him that his buyer has further counter-offered $665k. Wow the next thing I know, was like as if we were having auction like tat ~ cos both familys' representing Agents were giving counter-offers at the same time!!! Finally, the selling price was closed at $668k ~ Phew! Phew! We were all so excited and thrilled as we never expected it to close this deal so smoothly & quickly {I must go back to Waterloo St temple bai-bai liao!!!)

~~ Thirdly & Lastly ~~ In the night, ah-lao and me went for the Air Supply Concert! Oh its a great concert, with great music and great songs by both Russel Hitchcock and Graham Russell, singing to the hearts 6,500 audience. Halfway through the concert, almost everyone in Max Pavillion got off their seats, standing up waving, cheering, clapping and singing along with the Duo. Its really amazing, just like a massive karaoke session formed by fairly mixed crowd of all races (we have Ang-Mors, Malay, Indian & Chinese) singing to familiar tunes like "Even the Nights Are Better" "Just As I Am" "A Little Bit Of Everything" "The One That You Love" and the unforgettable Encore Song "All Out Of Love". They are certainly not out of steam even though they are both in their late 50's and have been singing for the last 33 years !!!

WHAT A MEMORABLE NIGHT! AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY FOR ME IN FACT!!

For now let's enjoy watching this music video of AIR SUPPLY singing "All Out Of Love"
some 20yrs back (I think)

Tong Hua

This morning, I received a 'Comment' from my video upload of Jermaine singing TongHua to WeiLian during his birthday in 2006 . Though it's just a short comment of 'so cute' and all the way from France! I'm very glad to know that someone out there likes it. Here's the video to bring us back the nice memories ........

(this is Jermaine's 1st Surprise Birthday Gift for WeiLian in 2006)

(this is Jermaine's 2nd Surprise Gift for WeiLian ~ a heartfelt touching encouragement song {title: SUPERSTAR BOY} b4 he left for his China promo in April 2008)

While browsing through some other 'Tong Hua' videos, I found these 2 videos which were uploaded in Mar ~ just watch and see if you have the urge (like me) of wanting to go learn LINE-DANCING .... (hahahha).... I already fell in love with the 'Remix' one!!!

(Be patient with the Video, cos beginning is just showing the dancing steps, followed-by the actual dance with WeiLian's Tong Hua song)

Mother's Day

This year 'Mother's Day' make me feel so touched..... mainly bcos my darlings seem to have grown and know how to shower me with their love & thoughts.

First was Jermaine .... on Friday, she surprised me with a stalk of pink rose which she used her pocket money to buy it from the school bookshop! (pic to be added soon!!), added with her sweet 'Happy Mother's Day' wish and a warm Hug!!!

Then the next night (Saturday), Jamuel came back with a box of "??" and said to me "Mummy, Happy Mother's Day!! I bought you your 6 favourite donuts". Regret not taking a pic of it ~ 6 round lovely donuts signifying our family of 6 ~ Ah Lao & me, Jarryl, Jamuel, Jermaine and last but not least, our lovely Sparky !!!

On Sunday, as usual I'm back to work @ Parkway and 'Lao-Gong' called to say that Jarryl wanted to buy me Dinner !! Luckily I was able to leave work earlier, and we had Dinner at the Kopitiam 'Zhi-Char' stall ~ though the dishes were norm to us, somehow I seemed to find it exceptionally delicious and enjoyed the meal .......cos I can feel and appreciate the sweet gestures coming from the kids! End of dinner, Jarryl footed the bill of $54 and immediately he had to rush to his fren's place @ Marsiling to catch the soccer match @10+pm . I already knew he was going to his frens place tat evening thus I was pretty touched when he had the heart to still arrange for this surprise dinner. On his way to his fren's place, he sent me this sms "Mummy, Wishing u a Happy Mother's Day, Thanks for being a mother who is always there for me whenever I am in need. Hope u enjoyed de dinner" . And this is my reply to him "Ya, I enjoyed the dinner of cos even if its just a burger, cos its the tot tat counts. I know u r thoughtful n sensible thus daddy n me need not worry too much for u. However we hope u continue to work hard for a better life of yourself in future!" The night ended so wonderfully with Jermaine running to me with the same stalk of 'Pink Rose' but this time with an added note (pic to be added soon)!!!

All these little little gestures from each of them is so meaningful to me and I'm going to treasure it forever, as this is the 1st Mother's Day which I really can feel what's like being an appreciated MOTHER (hahaha)!

Hot ! Hot ! Hot !

Everyday & Everywhere the weather is just so terribly Hot! Never have I felt so uncomfortable with our S'pore weather, so bad until my body feel itchy at times. At first I wonder what's wrong with me and why am I scratching so badly all over my body and yet there's no rashes found! Just hope that these hot & stuffy weather can quickly diminish so that everyone can get back to their right mood & right track.

Lately, really nothing much to do except getting addicted to watching SCV programmes. Ever since we have the Hubstation to replace the digital box, we started to record down most of the drama seriel shows nightly on both channel 55 & 48. Then everyday without fail, ah lao and me will, at our each individual leisure time, watch the programmes for continuously few hours. Actually we find this work well for us, in terms of time management (hahaha).

Exam is around the corner, which means its almost coming to half a year - Wow time really flies! Another 5 mths, my house will be reaching its 5 yrs maturity and we are planning to market it at a highly profitable price so that we can seriously plan for our retirement age for now. Haiz, we are not getting any more younger.... ah lao is already 50 this yr and me also not very far behind, so since the property market is booming for now, its a good opportunity for us to take this move. Well, the only sacrifice, is that we will have to move out of our beloved home, our favourite location and be away from our parents. Let's keep our fingers crossed and pray that everything works out just well for us.......

This morning, whilst browsing thru the youtube videos, I chance upon this video collection of WeiLian's route to success ... He's now doing well in China and I'm so happy for him. Hope he continues to shine and work hard for himself... and bring proud to everyone who knows him especially his beloved family and friends.

Sparky New Look

Sparky has been given a new full-groom look over the weekend. Really felt a bit 'sayang' when the moment I saw the groomer snapped his razor on him - straps & straps of long coat came falling down to the ground. David (the groomer) even jokingly asked Jermaine if she wanted to keep Sparky's pony-tail pompom as a 'souvenir' !!! So we left him there and came back after 5 hrs to pick him up. Well the result is not too bad after-all! Sparky looks more bubbly and happy with his new lighter coat, just like a new 'lao' puppy (hehehe). David commented the beautiful & healthy coat tat Sparky has and tat's why he will look good in both long and short coat. Hmmmm.... thanks to me for taking so good care of him for the past 4 yrs...........
